Saw the movie Minions way back in the Summer of 2015 (according to post I made on Google+ it was on 07/29/15) at the Ward Theater.
First of I never saw any of the Despicable Me movies, which is okay since this movie is prequel to those movies.
It does the tell the story that the Minions evolved naturally on this world rather than they were created in a laboratory.
All I can say about the Minions is that they are not evil, they do however thrive on chaos, which evil masters tend to do from time to time. However with the Minions involved your evil chaotic plan will not work to the letter. You still have chaos in the end, but not the chaos you had in mind.
Of course the Minions' chaos would also have a humorous effect to it. So if you like comedy then this movie should fit the bill.

Been watching a few episodes of Supergirl on CBS, which airs on Monday nights.
In this TV series they sort of change the nature of the character from the comics. In both versions she is the first cousin of Superman (their fathers are brothers). In the comics version a part of Krypton survives the explosion and years later Supergirl is born on that part.
In this TV series version, Supergirl is born 13 years before Superman, when Krypton explodes they send two small rockets to Earth, the first one is Superman's rocket, the second is Supergirl's rocket. Somehow the second rocket is caught in Krypton's explosion and gets trapped in another dimension where time stands still, a couple of decade or so pasts and Supergirl's rocket gets free and finally gets to Earth, where her cousin is now an adult Superman.
Superman then leaves her with a family he knows pretty well and they raise her as one of their daughters. The series takes place about 12 to 13 years after Supergirl comes to Earth and has a day job working for Catco in a place called National City.

Malcolm should not be in the club. He’s under-aged, he’s not invited, he’s turned away at the door by the bouncer, and he’s only there to spend time with a young woman who’s involved with the neighborhood’s charismatic but dangerous Molly dealer. Every choice Malcolm makes after he gets into the club is potentially deadly, morally questionable, certainly illegal, and somehow the least of all evils, and it is difficult to condemn him for his actions in most of the story. You have to go way back in the film to this early decision if you’re looking for a way to blame him convincingly, but this is definitely where you can say it’s all his fault.
That young woman, though. She (played by Zoe Kravitz) is beautiful and flirty, and Malcolm is a nerdy high-school senior with a Harvard interview in a few days, a black teenager at a public school in Inglewood, so geeky about 1990s hip-hop that he sports a Kid ‘N Play fade in the 2010s, and every seventeen-year-old, nerdy or not, has made a bad choice or two in the name of getting close to a beautiful, flirty woman.
His guidance counselor believes Harvard is a pipe dream, saying that everything about his circumstance lines up against him, despite his academic record. Whether the counselor is right or wrong is the heart of this film’s message. If Harvard wants the best, brightest young minds, is it willing to take them from Malcolm’s neighborhood? Except for his one excursion to the club, Malcolm has spent his life staying away from trouble in order to get into the Ivy League, yet he is told that it’s not enough.
There are several ways you could comfortably pigeonhole Dope, but if you change its setting and characters, and delete the what’s-the-moral final two minutes, you still have a good story that makes the film more than just one title in a category. The acting is solid, even if the plot relies on a few coincidences too many, and the pacing is excellent. It’s a funny, tense movie worth bumping up the queue.

One thing i wish Hawaii had was a furry con. Seems we have anime and comic cons here. But i would be really happy if there was a furry con so i could see some furry art in person instead of having to order it over the internet, and meet many GOH,including someone known as Uncle Kage.

A conversation with a friend had me thinking about the entire body of Pixar's work, and what my ranking would be for them, since I had just seen The Good Dinosaur. I'm going to post mine here; I'd love to see yours as well!

Michael is a mechanic who spends his mornings having breakfast with his aunt, his days fixing cars in a family-owned garage none of his relatives wanted, and his evenings reading. His late nights are often spent trying not to hear the lovemaking sounds of his tenant Lori, his best friend who, after her noisy lovemaking, prefers to watch television with Michael, often spending the night with her head on his shoulder, while her lover sleeps in her bed next door.
Michael has clearly been friend-zoned.
In a neighborhood bar one night, Michael meets Darcy, an intellectual free spirit whose only promise to Michael is that she won’t stick around. There is a mutual interest that begins physically but seems to extend to thoughtful conversation over late-night bottles of wine. Michael considers what a relationship with Darcy would be like, but is he holding back because Darcy is a wanderer, or is he holding back because he longs for Lori?
There is a loner aspect of Michael’s character that really appeals to me, not to mention the unrequited love for a best friend who may not be good for him. There’s a little bit of meanness or bitterness in Michael’s interactions with women, something I think I understand but definitely don’t like. It can be tough being everybody’s favorite nice guy, but those gentle waves of anger that seem to ripple once or twice beneath Michael’s surface make me wonder if he’s truly nice.
This is actually one of the film’s themes, and it’s difficult to tell how genuine anyone is being. While I really do like and sympathize with the characters, this little bit of uncertainty makes it feel as if the film is keeping us at a distance, despite some of the intimate things we know about them.
Still, it’s an intriguing movie, with direction I mostly admire. Characters are physically framed in ways that make us reconsider our thoughts about the characters, and there are some lovely colors and lighting that add to this aesthetic. Definitely worth checking out.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015)

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is the final of four films in the Hunger Games series, and it's a fitting and appropriate conclusion to the story. Picking up right where Mockingjay – Part 1 left off, it takes our heroine Katniss Everdeen right to the capital, where she is determined to be the one to kill President Snow.
She has a film team with her, and together they follow the action a day or two behind. Katniss's role is to inspire the rebellion, not to see actual battle, but she has suffered too much at the hands of Snow to let someone else capture him. She disobeys orders without telling her crew, making up a lie to get them to accompany her to Snow's mansion.
There are traps and landmines along the way, created by the Game Makers, who also devised the deadly pitfalls in the actual Hunger Games. Katniss may not be in the arena anymore, but she's still fighting the forces that once held her life in their hands.
It is a bleak movie, and it does not prettify the fact that in order to overthrow the tyranny, a lot of people are going to die. Katniss has seen her share of death, has doled enough of it out, in fact, to understand that dying for a cause is much better than dying for the amusement of an oppressive government.
Jennifer Lawrence is terrific, as always, as are Woody Harrelson and Julianne Moore. Production overall is good, and I appreciate the thoughtful use of the soundtrack, which is toned down at appropriate moments so that the weight of the story can be felt by the audience, as it must be felt by the characters. And although this is not a movie to make you feel good, it's a movie that feels right, and props to the film makers for staying true to the spirit of the novel in that respect.

This may be 'old news' for some of you, but it's a worthy announcement for those of you not in touch with Hawaiian culture:
Yesterday, Saturday 12, 2015 over 2,000 volunteers showed up at the He`eia fishpond to repair an 80 foot rift in the wall which was caused by flooding and runoff.
The 2,000 volunteers passed rocks and buckets of sand hand-to-hand until the breach was repaired. This was the same manner in which the fishpond was built by native Hawaiians hundreds of years ago.
For those of you who don't know, fishponds were plentiful throughout Hawai`i until the overthrow. Curving walls were made of rock and sand where a stream fed into the ocean with one small opening which contained a grate which allowed young fish to swim in seeking food in the stream runoff, and when they fattened themselves up, they were too big to swim out again, and they were harvested for food.
This amazing and inventive engineering provided a major food source for Hawaiians.

The Good Dinosaur (2015)
Voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Anna Paquin, Frances McDormand, and Sam Elliott. Directed by Peter Sohn.
The Good Dinosaur opens with that historic asteroid hurling toward Earth, only instead of hitting the planet and destroying the dinosaurs, it shoots by in a ball of fire, and dinosaur life continues even as the forces which brought humans to the planet continue uninterrupted.
In this imagined world where dinosaurs and humans coexist, some dinosaurs have learned to clear fields and cultivate crops. By the sweat of their own labor, they feed themselves and their families even through the unforgiving winters. The humans, having gotten off to a later start, aren’t quite so advanced.
Our main character is Arlo, by far the smallest of his siblings from the same clutch of eggs. Arlo suffers from panicky fear of just about everything, and although he is treasured by his parents, his brother and sister have begun to shoulder their part of the labor, while Arlo can’t feed the chickens without flying into a crazy panic.
When a weird series of events leads to his being lost far from home, Arlo is forced to brave elements, malevolent creatures, and an orphaned human boy who sort of lands Arlo in his unenviable position in the first place. The pair strikes up a relationships, and together they seek a way back to Arlo’s family.
Nothing about the trailer for this film made me want to see it. The graphics looked like shinier, smoother versions of stuff we saw on TV on Saturday mornings. Arlo and his family look like overly friendly dinosaurs you might see on a box of breakfast cereal. And what’s intriguing about a title like The Good Dinosaur?
It’s true that the story here borders on infantile, but the animation is not at all what it appears at first glance. Yes, the foreground characters are all slick, but the backgrounds they run around in front of are amazing. I kept opening my eyes as wide as I could, in order to find some clue that what I was looking at was actually real-life video. The animation team at Pixar seems determined to present art that looks real but stops just short of total realism, and the effect is mind-blowing. There are underwater shots when a river is rushing madly toward a falls that have to be seen to be believed.
As a fan of animation, I’ve always been intrigued by the rendering of objects responding to gravity, and it seems to be one of the trickiest things. Although the creatures don’t execute perfectly as they traipse over the landscape (they have a kind of floaty look that’s still better than almost any animation yet, but it still looks like a different planet’s gravity), the other elements–water, rocks, dirt, and leaves–sell the illusion about as close to perfectly as I’ve seen.
It’s not a bad movie for children, but you may want to review it first before you take little ones. And if you’re not the sort to be smitten with the animation of twigs and muddy water in a flood, you might want to skip this. Otherwise, it’s worth a look.

My cousin's neighbor is looking to rehome this guy, because he needs to be the alpha dog and her other two dogs are very unhappy. He's apparently well-behaved other than his attitude toward his fellow canines. He's certainly a handsome terrier.

Kam Bowl (sorta) to Fill Old Kenny's Restaurant Space
No link, because it's behind the paywall, but Erika Engel reports that the old Kenny's Restaurant space in Kamehameha Shopping Center is going to be taken over by the old Kam Bowl diner (wasn't it known as Kapiolani Coffee House?), famous for its oxtail soup (nearly ten bucks for the regular sized bowl).
I have mixed feelings. I've lived in Kalihi for 18 years and loved eating in the bowling alley, but then I kinda think it was partly the ambience of the bowling alley that made the food taste good. When I lived in Hilo, I loved eating in the bowling alley there too. On the other hand, that's a space I'm in the vicinity of every day, and there were things on the menu I really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to at least trying it out.

(Yawn) -sorry, not too objective.
Good performances from the major actors, but the plot was somewhat jumbled, forced and illogical.
I walked out of the theatre thinking, "That's it?"
It had some good points, but overall it was tedious, repetitive and boring.
The denumont (end twist) was unexpected, unpredictable, and unfulfilling.
I might give it one star, just for the three major actors. Not worth $10.

The Rainbow Warriors return to Aloha Stadium to face the third-ranked offense in the nation. The Falcons look good in the first two quarters of play — and are out to a 34-0 lead over dismal UH at halftime. Receivers continue to drop good passes by quarterback Max Wittek and turnovers continue to plague Hawai‘i’s fortunes. :(
Pretty pointless to discuss how this team can improve under Norm Chow, as UH administration will prove hopelessly incompetent if they don’t fire Chow after this loss. In order to save face, the team needs to move on. After 3 1/2 painful years, it’s clear that a pro-style offense — even modified — simply does not work here. We need to run a system — something that can give “less than blue-chip” recruits a chance to compete against more talented teams. Otherwise, The Rainbow Warriors need to consider dropping out of DI-A and playing in a lesser league.
Hopefully, Matlin takes care of business sooner rather than later. Announce Norm’s termination immediately following the game, so that coaching prospects can begin preparing to apply for the opening. :cool:

"The Muppets" on ABC

Was watching a few episodes of The Muppets via the ABC website, these past few days. This series started airing in the fall of 2015.
In this series, the Muppets are making a late night talk show called Up Late with Miss Piggy, with the host of the show is of course Miss Piggy, Kermit is the producer of the show, Fozzie is the on-air side kick, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are the show's house band and the rest of the Muppets do behind the scenes stuff like writers, stage hands, wardrobe, and other stuff that they attempt to make the talk show work or if not, then make it parody of the late night talk show genre with humorous effect.
There is also an element of documentary crew filming the behind the scenes stuff and having the characters expressing their feelings or thoughts at the camera.

The first three should have had a pre debate kiddie table and left the center ring to the stars, they would have shined individually and made the debate a huger win win. Otherwise Hillary kicked ass and Bernie was right with her toe to toe, they both made huge inroads towards gaining public respect, reconsideration, and new interest. While Sanders made $2 mil that nite and the twittersphere / google went nuts for him, Clinton looked confident, smart, strong, humourous, and cordial as she often parried the issues. The whole affair was a dignified showcase of serious options for the race to the White House and has the opposition rightfully stunned. The never right spin was hilarious as they choked to keep from saying real positives for HC. The next D debates will hammer home the differences between the parties exponentially, and the few remaining will be well enuf to devastate the GOP.
Along with the electoral map virtually cinching it for the left, and gas going even cheaper, plus the rocking economy and stock market, I'd say it's friggin PARTY TIME again for America! Maybe we as a country can ultimately go out with a bang.

Yes, We’re Open (2012)

A yuppie couple, slightly bored with its sex life, considers the possibilities of an open relationship. The man and woman think of themselves as modern and unrestricted, but despite the urging of another couple for them to give it a try, the pitfalls seem prohibitive, among them their simply not being sure what they want.
I am an avid admirer of Lynn Chen, whom I loved in White on Rice and The People I’ve Slept With, and whose social media content I find entertaining and interesting. She has a screen presence that reminds me of the smart, pretty women I encounter every day, a kind of graceful but uncomplicated confidence that’s easy to get along with. For this reason, her character is the least annoying of the four central characters in this movie. Where the others are smart and unbearably obnoxious, she is smart but only mildly obnoxious. Her character’s partner is the kind of guy who turns a wedding toast into a political diatribe lacking any social awareness, and the fact that she loves him is a condemnation against her.
I hate to say this because his performance seems sincere, but Parry Shen, who plays Chen’s lover, is a weak link among pretty good actors. Almost every scene he’s in feels slightly off, like maybe he was the understudy who had to stop in at the last minute and can focus either on blocking or on lines, but not both at the same time. And boy, is his character unlikeable.
This is the problem with this movie as whole: its characters are just impossible to like, and not even my admiration of Lynn Chen is strong enough to keep me from counting the minutes until the movie’s conclusion. I didn’t want to spend a minute more than necessary with these people, and when one of them flat-out tells another that nobody can stand him, it’s actually true of everyone else in the film, including the person leveling the accusation.
Really not recommended unless you’re a Lynn Chen fan, in which case it’s sort of required viewing.

Saw the 2-D version of The Martian at the Ward Theater with a friend during a mid-day showing.
The movie starts out with a group of astronauts exploring the surface on Mars, when a strong wind storm forces them to leave the surface to head back into space. One of the astronauts is hit by something and is thrown from the group. They couldn't find him, his suit communicator doesn't work and they had to leave since their escape craft is in danger from the wind storm.
The rest of the movie is about that astronaut who is left behind, initially can't communicate to anyone because that thing that hit him was an antenna from their base and a rod from that antenna destroyed his suit communicator. He does things to survive and tries to figure out how to extend his stay or find a way to let the others know he is still alive.
Other parts of the movie have scenes on Earth and on the ship that the Mars explorers are heading back to Earth.

went to the drive through for my healthy grilled chicken snack wrap (with no dressing) at Kam Shopping Center, only to be told that they no longer offer the snack wrap? What I say? Yes, they don't offer it anymore..
When I get to the window, I ask is that for ALL Hawaii McD? She doesn't know...she only knows about the store she works for. WTH?
Do you know this is the healthiest non-FRIED main meal on their program?
You'd have to buy their large chicken wrap..THAT they still offer.
Devastated!

Mike is a stoner convenience store clerk in a small Virginia town, where he lives with his girlfriend Phoebe. When he’s not stoned, he’s kind of a mess, ridden with anxiety and subject to panic attacks. One very late night, he catches two guys messing with his car, and when he confronts them, they move to attack him. Mike uses a spoon he’s carrying and a cup of instant ramen, combined with reflexes he doesn’t know he has, to kill both attackers in horribly violent ways. Soon, he is the target of a series of psycho killers and doesn’t know why, but he seems to be their equal in assassination skills, much to his own surprise.
Jesse Eisenberg is always an interesting actor, and pairing him as Mike with Kristen Stewart as Phoebe might not seem like natural casting choice (although they starred together in Adventureland, a film I liked very much), but it works pretty well, and Stewart is probably the best I’ve seen her. Topher Grace and Connie Britton play characters whose roles I won’t give away, but they’ve got something to do with the situation Mike and Phoebe find themselves in, and they’re kind of a comically serious couple of rivals. American Ultra works if you sit back and let it have its way with you, not overthinking the plot or the jokes. If you appreciate the creative stunts of a good Jackie Chan film, you might find a lot to like in the action sequences here, ‘though their very violent nature and execution cause them to lack the charm and acrobatic silliness of Chan’s best work.

When she discovers she’s pregnant, she’s confronted with a few situations in need of being worked out, not the least of which is figuring out who the father is. With the encouragement and assistance of her best friend Gabriel (Wilson Cruz), Angela works through her issues, aided also by the collection of photos she’s amassed of all her romantic partners (cutely labeled with nicknames, measurements of length and girth, and occupations).
Cheung, in case you’ve forgotten, was the female lead in Better Luck Tomorrow, a mile-marker of sorts in Asian American film. She was outstanding in that film, and is quite good in this one, especially in scenes where she delivers lines by herself. There are a few scenes that feel under-rehearsed, as if the actors are still getting to know each other and their characters’ relationships. The timing feels off in these few scenes, and the actors’ deliveries present as if they’re waiting for their turns, rather than listening to what’s being said to them before they speak. They give the film a kind of rushed feeling, despite otherwise strong performances all around.
It’s a fun movie with well-conceived characters, touching on several issues young adults of any American ethnicity confront in some way, with a few plot situations you’ve probably never seen.

A young man looking in the mirror one morning sees that a sticky note has been attached to his forehead. The message, written by his girlfriend, says “I’m off to the cram school.” His first response is to do nothing, for days on end, his apartment falling more and more into slovenliness, but when he finds himself with nowhere to live, he sets out for the area of Taiwan where the cram schools are, hoping to find his misplaced love. Instead, he meets the proprietor of a copy shop, whose clients include the cram school he believes his girlfriend is attending. The shop owner offers him a job and a place to live; the job offers multiple opportunities to visit the school and interact with its students, examination proctors, and instructors.
The copy boy befriends some interesting people, including a recovering alcoholic Christian minister whose hobby is selling noodles from a booth late at night, a cute young woman driven only by her love of money, and a proctor who likes to draw sheep in the margins of the tests he photocopies for her. She, too, is recovering from a lost love, counting the days to the deadline she’s set herself for getting over his absence, but she’s not the only one. It seems everyone in this film, perhaps everyone in the city or even everyone in the world, is dealing in some way with some kind of separation, some actively seeking resolution, some passively waiting for conclusions they can only imagine. The noodle-seller, the money-hungry girl, the garlic rice vendor, even the people who’ve left their belongings in the rental lockers that are soon to be torn down: each has a story, and if there are happy endings around here, they’ve yet to be realized.
When a Wolf Falls in Love with a Sheep is mostly lighthearted fare, a romantic comedy with deeply bittersweet undercurrents. It tells its story simply, with very creative visuals including stop-motion photography to quickly show the passage of days and crudely animated sequences to illustrate some of the narrative. I laughed aloud a few times at clever editing and surprising details, and although the film’s conclusion doesn’t quite pass the would-this-happen-in-real-life test, the visuals it produces are worth the small dent in believability.
Is there such a thing as “forever and ever,” and should we be concerned about that if we cannot be sure of its existence? Or should we accept what we’re given today, when the only things we can be sure of are within sight of this moment? Here’s a film that, while not delving too deeply into the philosophy, delivers its take through the eyes and hearts of one small group of young people. It’s a fun exploration with a visually pretty climactic moment.

The copy boy befriends some interesting people, including a recovering alcoholic Christian minister whose hobby is selling noodles from a booth late at night, a cute young woman driven only by her love of money, and a proctor who likes to draw sheep in the margins of the tests he photocopies for her. She, too, is recovering from a lost love, counting the days to the deadline she’s set herself for getting over his absence, but she’s not the only one. It seems everyone in this film, perhaps everyone in the city or even everyone in the world, is dealing in some way with some kind of separation, some actively seeking resolution, some passively waiting for conclusions they can only imagine. The noodle-seller, the money-hungry girl, the garlic rice vendor, even the people who’ve left their belongings in the rental lockers that are soon to be torn down: each has a story, and if there are happy endings around here, they’ve yet to be realized.
When a Wolf Falls in Love with a Sheep is mostly lighthearted fare, a romantic comedy with deeply bittersweet undercurrents. It tells its story simply, with very creative visuals including stop-motion photography to quickly show the passage of days and crudely animated sequences to illustrate some of the narrative. I laughed aloud a few times at clever editing and surprising details, and although the film’s conclusion doesn’t quite pass the would-this-happen-in-real-life test, the visuals it produces are worth the small dent in believability.
Is there such a thing as “forever and ever,” and should we be concerned about that if we cannot be sure of its existence? Or should we accept what we’re given today, when the only things we can be sure of are within sight of this moment? Here’s a film that, while not delving too deeply into the philosophy, delivers its take through the eyes and hearts of one small group of young people. It’s a fun exploration with a visually pretty climactic moment.

With a running time of two hours and twenty-four minutes, Straight Outta Compton still feels a little short, although I’m imagining that only long-time fans of N.W.A. will think so. Younger fans who aren’t as familiar with the story of the gangsta rappers will probably think it’s just about the right length, if not slightly too long in the attention it gives the post-N.W.A. life of founding member Eazy-E (whose widow is one of the film’s producers). The film covers a lot of ground, from the days leading up to the group’s formation through its early success, its arrest in Detroit for performing “F*** tha Police,” its untimely breakup, and the later successes of Ice Cube as a solo artist and Dr. Dre as a groundbreaking producer.
Yet many of the stories dramatized here are already well known. What’s missing is some resonant presentation of these guys as friends. What were the relationships really like, and who were these guys as people? When Eazy meets Ice Cube in a nightclub, the moment is at first tense, but as the artists give each other enormous hugs, there’s a relief in both their eyes, a kind of righting of wrongs that rings true even though there’s not enough in the film for that to be the payoff. Eazy suggests that the guys get back together, and Cube says, “If Dre wit’ it, then I’m wit’ it,” and you realize that you understand the sentiment, but you’re only really accepting it on faith or based on some other knowledge you came to the theater already possessing, not because of anything the film has already shown you. This is the film’s greatest omission, the relationships away from the group, although if you’re a fan, you’ll also be taken aback by how little a role in this story is played by M.C. Ren, thought by many to be the best rapper in the group. If you didn’t know anything about Ren going into the film, you still didn’t know anything when you left the theater.
I’ll tell you what, though: the stories this film does tell are terrific, and the performances are strong. O’Shea Jackson Jr. is more than passable portraying his real-life father Ice Cube, and if there’s a character the script does try to delve into, it’s Dr. Dre, played by Corey Hawkins. Here are five young men making an effort to create something, motivated partly by wanting to get out of the cycle of violence they see around them every day, and partly by the need to express the rage that’s inspired by that violence. When these young men are warned against performing that song by the Detroit police, there’s never a second’s doubt that they’ve only got one option, and as the tension builds, leading up to that moment, you can’t help taking their side, even if you remember having mixed feelings about it when you first read about that story in your college newspaper. It’s the film’s best scene.
Okay, I have one other, much smaller criticism of the way this film is put together, and it’s the conspicuous absence of a full-length performance of the song whose title gives this movie its name. We see and hear snippets of it, mostly Eazy-E’s part, but come on. Viewers who are seeing some of this stuff for the first time should be shown what the big deal is with this song, and those of us who already know it should have the opportunity to relive it in some semblance of context. Leaving out this obvious detail is a huge disservice to the effectiveness of this film.
I don’t have teenagers of my own, but if I did, I would make them watch Straight Outta Compton.

Since the mid summer of 2015 Berkeley Breathed has been generating a new comic strip series called Bloom County 2015. It is not available via traditional comic strip pages in newspapers but rather on via Facebook or via Go Comics.
The premise of the series from the first strip is that Opus wakes up after sleeping 25 years in the meadow. Thing is while Opus is behind the times (he thinks Twitter is a chat for birds), everyone else in the strip hasn't aged and for the most part the characters are the same in the original Bloom County strip. So far the only change is to Cutter John, in terms of which war he was a veteran of (not Vietnam) and his wheel chair is Star Wars theme instead of Star Trek themed.
Current storyline is now the Meadow Party having Opus running for President of the United States with Bill the Cat as the Vice President.

Caleb is a programmer working for the most-used search engine in the world. He wins a contest whose prize is a week spent with the company’s founder at his private mansion, a compound so top-secret that the helicopter flying him there must land in a field from which the house cannot even be seen. “This is the closest I’m allowed to get,” says the pilot. “Just follow the river until you see it.”
On his arrival, Caleb is informed that he’s there to participate in a test of the company’s latest artificial intelligence. As the human component in the tests, his goal is to determine whether the human-shaped container for the AI, whose name is Ava, can interact with a conscious being in such a way that the human cannot tell he is conversing with a computer. But Caleb voices one of the problems with this kind of testing: a chess computer might be able to beat any opponent, apparently thinking better than a human, but does a chess computer know that it’s playing a game? Does it even know what chess is? How do you interrogate a computer so that you can be convinced the computer knows what it is? And once a computer is intelligent and self-aware enough to pass that test, how do you know you can trust any of its responses? And once it starts to ask you questions, how do you know you’re not the one being tested?
As science fiction, Ex Machina is interesting and thought-provoking, if not quite as provocative as better films in the genre. As thriller, it’s a lot more successful. Not as good a science fiction as Oblivion, for example, but as good a thriller as In Time. Oscar Isaac as the billionaire founder and Domnhall Gleason as Caleb are an excellent combination, and the set design is wonderfully cold and glassy. Everyone’s talking about Alicia Vikander nowadays, and now I can see why. She’s sort of the Mara Rooney of 2015.
A better film than its advertising hinted at, and a nice surprise worthy of its critical response.

Tracy has just begun her frosh year at Barnard, and college isn’t turning out quite the way it was promised. She’s rejected by the literary society, her roommate is unfriendly, her professors aren’t happy with her contributions in class, and if the fun campus life that was illustrated in the viewbook still exists, she can’t seem to find it. But her mother is about to remarry, and her future step-sister, the thirty-something Brooke, has an apartment, a life, and several jobs in New York City, so Tracy gives her a call one evening after finishing dinner by herself. So needy is she for caring companionship that when Brooke asks if she’s eaten yet, Tracy says she hasn’t, and meets Brooke for dinner and drinks.
Brooke is free-spirited and adventurous: she jumps on stage and sings with the band in one of the bars she visits with Tracy; she lives in a huge apartment that’s zoned for commercial use; she has a boyfriend who’s helping her open her own restaurant. Tracy sees in Brooke a life lived outside the lines, someone who inspires her to stretch herself as a person and as a writer.
When things go a little crazy, Tracy comes along for the ride, bringing a frosh Columbia student and his girlfriend along, too. The foursome meets an ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend at the mansion they share.
Greta Gerwig as Brooke is flighty and charismatic, but it’s difficult to tell if she’s smart or just really good at acting smart, and Tracy as her wide-eyed future stepsister is involved but not really involved, a kind of Nick Carraway to Brooke’s Jay Gatsby. It’s an interesting relationship, and the characters' conversations are fascinating, but not for how well they connect Brooke with Tracy. Instead, each character’s lines seem to be inspired by the other’s, without actually being responses, as if each is only vaguely aware that there is a topic of conversation, not really listening to the other except for jumping-in points where they can share their next thoughts.
Add a few more characters to the dynamic, and you have a truly bizarre situation with non-sequiturs galore. Conversations sound like two or three different plays are being performed at the same time in the same space, and at times the blocking and set resemble those belonging to a stage play, each actor playing to an imaginary audience. I was reminded of several of David Mamet’s films, all adaptations of his plays, and wondered if the script wasn’t first conceived of as a play.
It’s more strange than funny, but it’s funny enough to keep one engaged.

Amy is a writer for a Maxim-like magazine, and because she hates sports, her editor assigns her to a story about a very successful surgeon who specializes in sports-related leg injuries. The surgeon’s name is Aaron, and he’s so good at what he does that his patients, including LeBron James, become his friends, and he is greeted at Knicks games by all the players. He’s clearly a really nice guy, but he doesn’t seem to have much time or energy for dating. Amy has her own issues: at a very young age, her parents divorced, her father explaining to Amy and her sister Kim that the reason for the divorce is that monogamy doesn’t work. Amy takes it to heart, and although as a grown-up she has a steady boyfriend (a cartoonishly hilarious John Cena as a musclebound meathead), the relationship is open, and Amy has an active and varied sex life.
Amy gets to know Aaron while interviewing him for the article, and while Aaron seems to see in her the woman he’s always wanted, Amy seems to view him as a sex partner she also likes hanging out with. The self-destructive lifestyle she’s curated for herself makes it impossible for her to accept a truly loving relationship, but she can’t help the growing feelings she has.
Amy Schumer (the actor, not the character) is one of the most important voices in comedy these past few years, a feminist voice that plays by her own rules while working within a male-dominated profession. I say this with no irony or hyperbole: Amy Schumer is the emerging Taylor Swift of comedy. She challenges expectations, calls out hypocrisy, and repeatedly zigs when even her closest observers think she’s going to zag. It says something that this is the first film directed by Judd Apatow that he did not at least co-write. Today’s leading director of comic film broke character in deciding to work with her.
Yet Schumer and Apatow seem to favor the same aesthetic: each of them is clever and crass in a way that has you looking over your shoulder to see if your parents or kids are within earshot because what you just heard was filthy, but the creative raunchiness is really just a different palate of colors for a story that pretty much stays in the lines. Sometimes it works really, really well, as with The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, but usually, as with This is 40 and, alas, Trainwreck, it feels a little empty and unsatisfying. Despite some really excellent pieces and some creative moments, Trainwreck doesn’t earn its emotional payoff honestly. Scenes with Amy’s father (Colin Quinn) and sister (Brie Larson) are well done and quite moving, but the film expects that to carry over to the romantic storyline, and it simply doesn’t.
We want Amy and Aaron to connect in a meaningful, lasting way, but how and why they do is never satisfactorily established, and that can mean everything in a romantic comedy. It’s a genre that is largely connect-the-dots, but if that last dot isn’t earned, it doesn’t matter that the final picture is a duck: it’s a dishonest duck, a duck that’s never earned.
Apatow has a habit of working with combinations of the same people from movie to movie, which bodes well for future projects. Another shot with the same cast and writer could be brilliant, even groundbreaking, and Schumer is a perfect candidate to make that happen. I want to see more of the thinking that birthed an intervention involving Chris Evert, Matthew Broderick, LeBron James, and Marv Albert, because that’s a hilarious concept. But man, it takes a lot to pull that off and tell a good story, and Trainwreck, while interesting and entertaining, doesn’t quite do that.

Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015)
There are two things to know about Shaun the Sheep Movie: It’s from Aardman Animation, the studio responsible for the Wallace and Gromit films, and it has no dialogue. These two items are enough to tell you whether you want to see it or not, really. I wanted to see it. Although Aardman’s output isn’t reliable (I didn’t think much of Chicken Run), its writing is usually clever enough to take a chance on. I wondered if it would still deliver the wit in the absence of any dialogue.
It’s not as clever as its Wallace and Gromit brethren, not even judging strictly by visuals, but it’s cute enough, and the pacing, which can be everything in a movie with no narration or dialogue, is pleasant. The film is delivered mostly from Shaun’s point of view, making it a real challenge to feel anything for any of the characters, and this is its greatest shortcoming. I was amused and entertained, but I didn’t feel invested in the outcome.
You could do a lot worse, but my guess is that whatever your options on any given day, you could also do a lot better.

Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015)
There are two things to know about Shaun the Sheep Movie: It’s from Aardman Animation, the studio responsible for the Wallace and Gromit films, and it has no dialogue. These two items are enough to tell you whether you want to see it or not, really. I wanted to see it. Although Aardman’s output isn’t reliable (I didn’t think much of Chicken Run), its writing is usually clever enough to take a chance on. I wondered if it would still deliver the wit in the absence of any dialogue.
It’s not as clever as its Wallace and Gromit brethren, not even judging strictly by visuals, but it’s cute enough, and the pacing, which can be everything in a movie with no narration or dialogue, is pleasant. The film is delivered mostly from Shaun’s point of view, making it a real challenge to feel anything for any of the characters, and this is its greatest shortcoming. I was amused and entertained, but I didn’t feel invested in the outcome.
You could do a lot worse, but my guess is that whatever your options on any given day, you could also do a lot better.

Saw the movie Ant-Man at the Ward Theater on Saturday night (9/19/15).
Movie has a mix of superheros, action, scifi, and some humor to it.
There is a misunderstood fight scene with one of the Avengers in the middle of the movie that sort of nods to a typical comic book plot where one good guy battles another good guy.

'16 Presidential election
The biggest enemy of the GOP in 2016 besides Trump is the electoral college map.
Even if you give the GOP candidate EVERY SINGLE CONCEIVABLE SWING STATE (Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Colorado, Nevada, West Virginia, Missouri), he STILL doesn't have 270 electoral votes.
For the GOP to win the Presidency, they have to win all of those PLUS either Virginia or Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, the Democrat candidate needs to win at most just two of those states.
Throw in other factors (demographic trends, a radical base forcing GOP candidates to take nationally unpopular positions, alienating everybody they can, ignoring Sen. Graham as the only viable nominee), and it just gets harder and harder for GOP presidential candidates to win with each passing election.
It's all over for good old burnt toast America but at least we can go down laffing at such losers.
We got a whole year to go til the election, and on the left we have a solid field of... questionable candidates with the designed to be hounded Hillary, the Scandinavian style Socialist Sanders, and stealth candidate Sen. The UH offense came alive against a decent team tonite and the D hung in there to go 2-1 after 3 games as we head to Wisconsin for another big name game.

Working along side Gaby Teller (I don't think she was in the 1960's TV series) and Mr. Waverly (played by Hugh Grant) they try to stop someone, rather than some government from making better nuclear bombs.

Jeb Bush came into the race as the odds on fave and so far has been handed $100 mil by his scummy pacmen since he's known as 'the smart one' in Bushtown yet he can't pull himself together at all with Trump whipping these GOP elephants all around by their tails (thanx Dick Adair!), and tonite (debate #2) he buried himself further with being wimpy and again claiming he knows one thing ''my brother kept us safe!''. Yeah, except for allowing 9-11, kicking the mid-East hornets nest, sending half a mil troops off to die for nothing, and leave us in a poisonous quagmire we'll never escape, plus giving us the Islamic State insanity, to name just a few highlites.
Trump stayed on top, while everybody else battled it out for a very distant 2nd. Carson didn't hurt himself terribly but he's going nowhere, just like the lower level best of the rest whom are fighting for the VP hopeful slot while the others are dead meat.
Of those that got more face time than others Rubio did well enuf and may gain traction as the rest fall out.
Fiorina will have a tuff time especially if she gains and then gets more scrutiny
Walker tried his new tact of being forceful and landed on his nasty face again, then pretty much shut up.

The rest should be kept off the next debate main stage and sent to the shallow end of the pool with the other kids.
Funny how Lindsay Graham is the best of the bunch and yet can't even get his head up out of the shallow hole.
Gotta love Trump, he's hanging in there and messing with the GOP's head big time, especially with Trump accepting Reince Priebus' pledge that they will not run as an indie and will support the nominee, which means if Trump stays in and forces the nomination of himself then they're stuck to him. Hilarious, this is the best election season yet and it's going to get better for everybody but these conjobs.
Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders keeps gaining momentum despite Biden's goofing around, while Clinton skates along as cons keep scratching like hell to nail her on something or ANYTHING.
In recent Presidential elections it was the con's to lose and they've done gloriously, now the scale has tipped to favor Dems outright and cons are disappearing. What a shame... :D

Bonjour,
Je souhaiterais réguler la pression dans un circuit hydraulique destiné à faire des mesure colorimétrique de pH et de Chlore.
Ma pression d'arrivée peut monter jusqu'à 4 bar et je souhaiterais que l'eau dans ma chambre de mesure d'excède pas les 0.5 bar.
D'après mes recherches, je pourrais - soit placer un régulateur (ou réducteur) de pression en série, qui bloquerait le passage dès que la pression de sortie dépasserait les 0.5 bar, - soit positionner en piquage, avec un raccord en T, une soupape de décharge afin d'évacuer le "trop" de fluide dès que la pression excède 0.5 bar.
Cependant, le débit dans mon circuit est très faible (de l'ordre de 6L/h), et les constructeurs me disent que les valves ne fonctionneront pas avec un débit si faible.
J'aimerais dans un premier temps savoir pourquoi ? Pourquoi les régulateurs de pression ou les soupapes de décharge ont besoin d'un débit minimum pour fonctionner ?
Et ensuite savoir quels seraient vos conseils, pour parvenir à mes fins.

Alors pour la petite histoire ma mère à écheté un jouet à 2 euros dans un vide grenier, arrivé à la maison elle à mis des piles mais il ne fonctionne pas....
Il s'agit du tigrou acrobate (il fais la roue en faite).
Je l'ai démonté pour voir si aucun fils n'était arrachés, tout est ok.
j'ai testé l'arrivé d'énergie avec un voltmètre : ok.
Le problème se trouve au dessus, les piles fournissent de l'energie mais le jouet ne fonctionne pas.
Il y à plusieurs moteurs et un bouton poussoir pour lancer le mécanisme en action.
Aucune tension n'est attribué a ce bouton poussoir.
Comment donc trouver la panne avec un petit voltmètre/ohmmètre sur la cartre electrique dont les composant ne sont pas ridiculement petit ?
J'ai quelque base en elec grace à mes cours que j'ai eu à l'école mais je n'arrive pas à m'y retrouver sur la carte électronique.
J'espère que vous pourrais m'aider dans mon bricolage qui arrive à m'occuper les soirs en rentrant du boulot :S:

Bonjour, ma tondeuse à gazon electrique ne démarre pas , rien pas un bruit . même pas le moindre début de démarrage . dernière utilisation sans soucis il y un mois et demi . elle a 3 ans .
j'ai nettoyé le contour du moteur en retirant son carter = toujours en panne
mes tests:
-Charbons ok de visu .
-Pas de trace de brûlé, noircit sur le moteur
-Rallonge, ok 230 v
-Lame tourne facilement
-Courant qui arrive bien dans le boitier de commande (jusqu'au contacteur de commande electrique de démarrage ) . j'ai bien 230v
-Fusible 4A (boitier noir) dans le boitier de commande ok , pas hs . continuité
-Tenté de démarrer direct avec le contacteur electrique de démarrage en main : rien
-A ce contacteur de commande electrique il y a un petit condensateur rectangulaire 230v 0.22uF .
-Vers le moteur , arrivent 4 fils 2 bleus et 2 marrons (2 x 220 v ?) .
Pas de gros condensateur dans le compartiment moteur .
Le contacteur de commande à 6 entrées ou sorties .
L'ensemble à 'l'intérieur du boitier de commande est très propre, pas d'humidité, ni saleté !
Niveau moteur , aux supports de charbons arrivent sur chaque , une self (bobine enroulé sur un genre d'aimant de 1.5cm )en fil noir
je compter virer le contacteur et me repiquer en direct mais comme il y a 4 fils vers le moteur . savez vous si c'est bien un double 230v qui va au moteur . car je ne connais pas ce type de branchement moteur .

Le contacteur de commande à 6 entrées ou sorties .
L'ensemble à 'l'intérieur du boitier de commande est très propre, pas d'humidité, ni saleté !
Niveau moteur , aux supports de charbons arrivent sur chaque , une self (bobine enroulé sur un genre d'aimant de 1.5cm )en fil noir
je compter virer le contacteur et me repiquer en direct mais comme il y a 4 fils vers le moteur . savez vous si c'est bien un double 230v qui va au moteur . car je ne connais pas ce type de branchement moteur .

Suite à un petit problème avec mon Lave-vaisselle Siemens SE24400/EU12, j'ai parcouru les différentes discussions de ce forum et au bout d'une petite journée, j'ai pu remettre en service la machine qui ne chauffait plus mais faisait tout le reste.
J'ai démonté les flancs, la plinthe et les organes remplisseur, chambre de compression et la fameuse durite de remplissage qui était moitié bouchée...
Le plus dur quand on n'a jamais fait ce genre de chose, c'est la crainte de mal faire, de casser quelque chose au démontage ou de mouiller les switches en nettoyant la chambre ou autre, d'où le temps excessif pour faire, mais le principal est d'apprendre et si cela arrive à nouveau, je saurai où chercher !
L'appréhension à la remise en route et le plaisir de sentir la chaleur qui revient (je sais, pour un LV, c'est abusé ! :-)) ça fait quand même du bien de voir qu'on en est capable !

Moment des forces de pression sur un barrage

J'ai un problème classique que je n'arrive pas à résoudre.
Il s'agit de calculer la résultante des forces de pression sur un barrage plan. La hauteur d'eau est

Mais ça se complique quand je dois calculer à quelle hauteur

en cours de construction d'une extension, je me demande quel diamètre de PVC utiliser pour les évacuation d'eau grise (évier et lave-vaisselle) à travers une dalle bois. Est-il nécessaire de faire la traversée en diamètre 100 comme au travers d'une dalle béton ou je passe directement en 40 jusqu'au regard de collecte sachant que si ça ce bouche j'ai accès par dessous (dalle sur pilotis à 50cm du sol).
est que je dois obligatoirement prévoir un évent sur cette canalisation? si oui, est ce que je peux faire sortir cet évent derrière un bardage bois (dans la lame d'air du litelage)?

Je suis à la recherche de personnes ayant eu une expérience dans un stage à Londres.
En école d'ingénieur par alternance , je commence mes recherches pour trouver un stage de 3 mois pour l'été 2016.
J'aimerai savoir comment cela c'est passé pour vous ? Si vous connaissez des entreprises qui prennent facilement des stagiaires ?
De plus, je préférerai trouver un stage rémunéré , en effet je n'ai pas les moyens de me loger à Londres et de garder mon appartement en France.

J'ai essayé de trouver mon problème dans les posts précédent sans succès.
Lorsque ma chaudière s'éteint, je ne peut pas la rallumer avant au moins 24h. Je vois l'étincelle mais il n'y a rien qui s'allume. J'ai contrôlé la pression d'eau, je suis entre 1 et 2 bar.
Je n'ai pas trouvé de bouton pour réarmer non plus.

Créer des vibrations
Bonjour à tous, je suis un petit nouveau sur ce forum.
Dans le cadre d'une expérience, j'ai besoin de créer des vibrations d'une fréquence de 100Hz qui seront en contact avec la peau. Dans les articles scientifiques du même genre, on trouve essentiellement ce genre de vibreur (http://ift.tt/1LWCUnS) mais je ne sais pas à quel prix et si c'est facilement trouvable en France.
J'ai pensé tout d'abord à utiliser des petits moteurs vibrants comme ça (http://ift.tt/1LWCTjD) que l'on peut trouver sur A****N ou dans des boutiques plus spécialisées en électronique. On en trouve avec des rotations allant à 12000 tours/minutes mais le problème pour moi c'est la précision de la fréquence, est-ce qu'on peut régler le nombre de rotations en fonction de la tension appliquée et si le nombre de rotations du moteur entrainera une fréquence de vibration équivalente ?. Dans l'idéal, j'aimerais que tous ces petits moteurs soient reliés à mon arduino afin de les déclencher à ma guise. Qu'en pensez-vous et surtout avez-vous d'autres idées ? J'ai oublié de préciser que les dimensions du dispositif doivent être relativement faibles, les petits moteurs de 3 à 3,5 mm d'épaisseur sont parfaits.

Pourquoi serait-ce obligatoirement une hétérodisomie ? Puisque l'hétérodisomie suppose que les deux copies d'un même chromosome viennent du même parent mais que ces deux chromosomes soient les deux chromosomes homologues du parent (donc ceux des deux grands parents).
C'est valable uniquement en cas de non disjonction en méiose 1, on récupère bien les deux chromosomes des deux grands parents.
Maintenant si la non disjonction se fait en méiose 2, les chromosomes homologues chez le parent ont déjà été séparés, seules les chromatides ne se séparent pas pour le chromosome donné et donc on récupère deux chromosomes du même parent et du même grand parent = isodisomie.
Nous sommes bien d'accord qu'on peut alors également avoir une isodisomie pour le mode "complémentation gamétique" ?
Pour moi :
Complémentation gamétique = hétérodisomie ou isodisomie
Duplication d'une monosomie = toujours isodisomie
Correction d'une trisomie = hétérodisomie ou isodisomie

J'ai trouvé de très bons supports d'apprentissage sur le web ( 1 et 2 ).
Malgré ces très bons cours, j'ai quand même parfois besoin d'un peu d'aide sur des points de compréhension qui me restent obscurs malgré des relectures assidues et les explications que je peux trouver sur le web.
Je recherche des association actives ou des groupes de contacts que je puisse joindre afin de trouver le soutien qui me manque. Sur ce sujet aussi mes recherches sur le web n'ont pas donné grand-chose.

Je souhaite avoir 7-8 Leds disposé en cercle avec un rayon d'éclairage très large 90deg. Et au centre de ce cercle 3-4 leds permettant un rayon d'éclairage plus concentré 20deg. Les 2 circuits doivent être indépendant, je souhaite annulé l'un ou l'autre mais pas les 2 en même temps.
Contraintes :
Diamètre maximum de l'ensemble avec les lentilles 70-80mm.
Je souhaite utiliser des leds hautes luminosité genre xml-t6 de préférence couleur blanche.
J'ai réalisé de façon très artisanale un prototype qui fonctionne avec des composants "chinois " je sais c'est pas bien, mais ça permet de faire un prototype à bas prix. Résultat du prototype: cela foinctionne mais je n'est pas réussi à avoir un rayon lumineux concentré avec les leds du centre.
Je recherche de l'aide pour réaliser ce système de manière plus propre et de meilleur qualité. Ou bien si vous pouvez m'indiquer quel type d'entreprise pourrait m'aider ou me le fabriquer.

J’ai prévue de démarrer la construction de ma maison d’en moins de 2 mois en auto construction (avec des amis maçons).
Ma question porte sur le choix entre un mur porteur ou la mise en place d’une poutre pour la stabilisation/support de la maison.
Il s’agit d’une maison toit-terrasse de 8.5m de façade sur 10m de longueur.
Elle sera construite sur vide sanitaire sol dur à banc calcaire avec fondation à 90cm de profondeur.
Avec deux étages habitable sans garage, et donc un total de 3 dalles.
Pour le moment il est prévue des hourdis béton pour les 3 et des murs en brique GF R20 avec une ITE.
Le mur porteur ou la poutre est situé sur l’axe médian dans la longueur de la maison.
Je ne suis même pas sûr à 100% qu’il s’agisse d’un mur porteur puisque il ne figure pas sur le plan de masse.

Cela n'a rien d'étonnant puisque le vent est irrégulier 24/24H alors que le soleil ne brille en moyenne que la moitié du temps.
Les énergies photovoltaïque et éolienne sont par nature intermittentes car le temps de fonctionnement de leurs parcs est limité par la disponibilité de leurs ressources respectives : l’ensoleillement dans le premier cas, le vent dans le second.
Le facteur de charge (énergie produite rapportée à la puissance installée) des panneaux photovoltaïques et des éoliennes varie donc selon la période prise en compte ainsi que leur localisation : conditions météorologiques favorables ou non, zone ventée ou ensoleillée, etc. En France sur l’année 2011(1), il apparaît que :
6 100 MW éoliens auraient permis de produire 11,9 TWh(2) en 2011, donc 1 MW aurait en moyenne produit 1 951 MWh (contre 8 760 MWh si le vent l’avait actionné à pleine charge 365 jours/an et 24h sur 24) ;
1 679 MW photovoltaïques(3) auraient permis de produire 1,8 TWh en 2011, donc 1 MW aurait en moyenne produit 1 072 MWh (contre 8 760 MWh si les cellules fonctionnaient à pleine charge, alimentées par la lumière 365 jours/an et 24h sur 24).

Générateur de signal carré aléatoire
Bonjour,
Dans le cadre d'un projet LIFI, je dois alimenter une lampe par un signal carré très haute fréquence et étudier la réponse sur un capteur de luminosité.
De cette manière, la lampe parait allumé continuellement pour l’œil humain mais envoie une suite de 1 et de 0 par le signal carré haute fréquence.
Le capteur réceptionne donc un signal binaire pour étude ultérieure.
Le problème est pour moi la génération du signal carré.
Envoyer uniquement un signal périodiquement ne permettrait pas de tester la technologie LIFI par la suite.
Je souhaiterais donc faire un système en amont de manière à pouvoir envoyer sur mon capteur un signal carré mais NON périodique.
Je pensais partir sur une modulation fréquentielle en utilisant deux alimentation GBF avec un trigger de schmitt pour obtenir mon signal carré....
Je ne suis pas sur que cela soit l'idée la plus ingénieuse.
Quelqu'un aurait-il déja été confronté à ce genre de problèmes??

Si on est un particulier, et que l'on trouve des vestiges archéologiques sur un terrain dont on est propriétaire, je sais qu'il faut normalement prévenir le maire de sa commune, mais ensuite?
Es-ce qu'en cas de fouille sur le susdit terrain on a droit à une indemnisation en cas de dégâts, de gêne par rapport à "l'occupation" du terrain ?
Aussi, si des objets de valeur pécuniaire sont découverts par des spécialistes venus faire la fouille, à qui reviennent-ils ?
Et dernière question, es-ce que les archéologues peuvent s'emparer du terrain comme bon leur semble, ou es-ce que le propriétaire est le seul à décider de là ou on fouille et là ou on ne fouille pas? Si c'est un terrain aménagé (arbres, bassins, etc) on a pas forcément envie de voir tout dévaster...

soit l'exercice de spectrométrie d'absorption suivant en 2 parties. J'ai résolu la question a) mais je n'arrive à rien de bon concernant la question b).
La réponse correcte est 1,2*10-1 mol/L pour le sel A et 2*10-2 mol/L pour le sel B mais je n'ai aucune idée quant au raisonnement permettant de déterminer ces 2 réponses.
On veut déterminer la concentration (mol/L) de deux sels A (Co(NO3)2) et B (Cr(NO3)3)
dans un échantillon inconnu en solution aqueuse. On enregistre un spectre dans le visible
de chacun de ces deux composés pris isolément en solution aqueuse ainsi que de la solution
échantillon à analyser. Le trajet optique des cuves utilisées est 1 cm.
Les valeurs des absorbances mesurées à 510 et 575 nm sur les trois spectres sont les suivantes
: le composé A (1.5 × 10−1 mol·L−1) présente une absorbance de 0,714 à 510 nm
et de 0,0097 à 575 nm. Le composé B (6 × 10−2 mol· L−1) présente une absorbance de
0,298 à 510 nm et de 0,757 à 575 nm. La solution à doser présente une absorbance de 0,40
à 510 nm et de 0,577 à 575 nm.

Bonjour à tous, quelqu'un a t'il une idée du type de batracien(s) que l'on trouve dans le petit lac de la Case, à 1700m au pied de la dent d'Oche (74)?
Vu les têtards hier avec les 4 pattes formées et résidu de queue... Seul élément d'identification : couleur très foncée. Désolé.
Vu également des tritons dans le même petit lac mais pas identifiés non plus. Peut-être des alpestres?

Voilà en étudiant calcul tensoriel et géométrie différentielle, j'en suis venu à voir dans un premier temps comment varie les vecteurs d'un repère naturel dans un espace ponctuel, c'est à dire les différentiels des vecteurs de base, ce qui m'a amenait aux symboles de Christoffel (coefficients de connexion affine ). Ensuite j'ai pu voir comment les exprimés en fonction du tenseur métrique, et finalement j'en suis venu au fameux tenseur de Riemann-Christoffel en regardant la différence des dérivées covariantes secondes d'un vecteur quelconque...
Bon voilà pour la petite histoire mais mon problème c'est surtout au niveau de la "forme" de l'écriture ! En effet, avec la calcul tensoriel, la notation indicielle est au premier plan et ainsi quand je regarde tout les calculs qui nous amènent à ces fameux tenseurs et même leur expression, je me suis dit : Avez vous des moyens mnémotechniques ou comment faite vous si vous avez envi dans un calcul de faire apparaitre un tenseur du type Riemann, car avec tout ces indices, c'est l'enfer !
Parce que vu que le tenseur de Riemann fait appel aux symboles de Chrostiffel qui font eux même appel aux tenseurs métriques et en plus on a des dérivées partielles... Je vois leur utilité mais même ressortir la formule de la dérivée covariante secondes, c'est déjà assez long au niveau des indices pour s'en rappeler...

la deuxième question : quel est le protocole convenable pour mon application ( USART UART can sp I2Ci .... )
la dernière question : y a t il une méthode pour faire une sorte de chip select pour que le 4 ème pic sélectionne que les 3 pics restants ( adressage ...)

voici l'énoncé de mon probleme:
Un disque, de centre O et de rayon R, porte la charge surfacique sigma = A/((R^2-r^2)^1/2) où A est une constante et r la distance à O.
On demande de calculer le potentiel électrique V en O
Aide: pour le calcul de l'integral, on propose le changement de variable en definissant sin(alpha)=r/R
Seulement voila: le corrigé du probleme donne simplement la reponse sans les calculs intermediaire: V = A.Pi/(4e0) avec e0=epsillon0 permittivite du vide
Or d'après moi:
dV=dq/(4Pi.epsillon0.r) et dq=sigma.dS avec dS=r.dteta.dr jusque là je pense que ça va
ensuite on calcule l'integrale double sur le disque = integraleDouble (A/(4.Pi.e0.r)).(r.dteta.dr)/(R^2-r^2)^1/2
r se simplifie et l'integration par rapport a teta de 0 à 2Pi nous ramene a l'integrale simple sur r de 0 à R:
integrale simple de (A.dr)/(2e0.(R^2-r^2)^1/2)
effectuons le changement de variable r=Rsina alors a compris entre 0 et Pi/2 lorsque R varie entre 0 et R
dr=R.cosa.da
on obtient donc integrale simple de 0 a Pi/2 de A.Rcosa.da/(2e0.(R^2-R^2sin2(a))^1/2)
= (A/2e0).integralede0àPi/2de cosa.da/(1-sina)^1/2 dont la primitive est -2(1-sina)^1/2
pris entre 0 et Pi/2 cela donne A/e0
je ne trouve pas mon erreur...
