I liked the back and forth insults between the Gavin MacLeod's character and the Betty White's character on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show." He would make a crack about her being promiscuous, and she would comeback with a joke about him being bald.

"Star Trek: Lower Decks" on Paramount+

Just finished watching the first season of Star Trek: Lower Decks that I purchased via iTunes. While this series was initially aired on CBS All Access (which is now called Paramount+) back in the Fall of 2020, it became available on iTunes in the middle of May 2021.

This series is animated and is centered around 4 Ensigns on board the starship USS Cerritos as the ship does support kind of things like making Second Contact to alien worlds, which includes things like making sure they get the spelling right on the planet in question.

Oh yeah, this series is also a comedy but it keeps in touch with Star Trek lore like the Gorn (a wedding is shown in episode #8), Q, and nods to both the The Original Series (TOS) and The Next Generation, as well minor nods to the The Animated Series, Deep Space Nine and Voyager.

There are 10 half hour episodes for the first season.

Norman Lloyd was part of an ensemble cast of "St. Elsewhere." That show launch the career of big stars such as Denzel Washington, Helen Hunt, Mark Harmon, and Howie Mandel. It also had a very unique way of ending the tv series.

This was a pleasant surprise. I was worried about BYU having a height advantage and a terminator who looked unstoppable last year. UH played with emotion that even the normally stoic setter Jacob Thelle showed emotion. I thought there would be a blueprint against UH after the U of San Diego lost. But, they fixed the problem and used it to their advantage.
