U.S. EPA reaffirms that glyphosate does not cause cancer

https://ift.tt/2GDJEZI

For those who just don't know, glyphosate is Roundup.
The grass killer that everyone is all excited about.
gooberment here is all up in arms about banning Roundup.
Like everything else, they just didn't have all the facts, before making a big deal out of it.
I kind of hope Roundup starts to sue all the states that attacked them.
Of course millennials, and damacrats, will say that the EPA is wrong.
Wonder if Roundup is going to sue to get back the money they were forced to pay out.
I hope so.
Right is right.

Crime

lundi 27 janvier 2020

Why is it no one noticed that since they passed the pot law, violent crime has gone up?????
Homeless has also gone up.
What happened to the war on drugs?????
Used to be lots of public service spots about the evils of drugs.
Programs in the schools.
Big rallies all over the island.
Now nothing.
Did they just give up on the war on drugs????
I'm thinking the war on drugs is bad for votes.
politicians support anything that will get them votes, so it just works against them to support the war on drugs.
Notice the damacrats, said nothing about the war on drugs in this new year?????
Why do you think that is????
Could it be because it's bad for votes????
The problem with a majority of the homeless is drugs.
Most of the time, both parents(?) have no job because of drugs.
No job, no money, no home for the kids.
They go out an rob, steal, deal, trick, for money or drugs.
Kids see it, and see it's the way life is.
Attack drugs, and crime will go down.
So homeless will go down.
Giving them everything for free, is not helping them.
Most of the time, they just sell it for drugs.

What is with this guy?????.
He just hogs the mike every chance he gets.
That, and he always goes off the subject.
What makes him think he knows everything.
The Mute button on my remote always get a good workout during the pre, half and post game show.
I feel sorry for the other two guys. White and Robbs.
They have to sit there and just take it.
I'm sure Mr Sellitto, who was great, got sick of hallum, and just left.
They should bring back Mr Sellitto, and dump hallum.

ke-aloha, kanashiro and the rest

jeudi 16 janvier 2020

Not much new about the lately.
Wonder if the cover-up is in the works.
queen kat is done, but she might be spilling her guts, naming names, to get a lighter prison time.
louie, the gut less seems to have cut the cord. But it's probably just for show.
kanashiro might just get away with it. Seems nothing is happening with him.
And the damacrats are not saying anything.
Makes you wonder why that is.
I kind of hope all of them name names.
Maybe we can get a start on cleaning out all the rubbish in gooberment.
What's strange is the two idiots who know about the mail box, not spilling their guts.
Nothing left for them to protect.
I would think they would want to say anything to keep out of prison.
loui and kat claim to be broke.
I wonder where they hid the money.
Fake accounts, kids, family, friends?????
What about the money loui is suppose to return????
Gone?????

Are hawaii voters just stupid or what?????

We have the worse roads, highest taxes, highest cost of living, worse schools, highest homeless, corrupt gooberment, never ending rail cost, unnecessary gooberment spending, out of control crime and drug abuse, uncontrolled life time welfare, high housing cost, run down and neglected parks, people born here leaving, and much, much more.
The common denominator???????????????
damacrats have been in power all this time.
No matter if we had a Repub gooburner or oscar mayer. The dams still had all the power.
Best thing to start-up here was the Super Ferry.
dams shut it down and, with the help of the media, made it look like it wasn't them.
How can people be so stupid and keep voting these people in????
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results."
I would say "insanity" should be replaced with "stupidity" when describing voter here.
I always vote. But it's getting harder and harder finding someone to support.
Ever wonder why hald of the population doesn't vote????
I hear people using the catch phrase "if you no vote, no grumble"
But because of all the stupid people, we have no real choice when voting.
They have bullied out all the other parties.
We now have no choice. They are all the same.
All controlled by one party.
I'm hoping I see the day when the people here finaly come to their senses, see what a mess we are in, and throw the bums out.
Are hawaii voters just stupid or what?????

Coconut Island schooner

Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but there is no "History" thread.
Maybe thee should be a "history" or "rear Window" thread about hawaii of the past.
Anyway................
I think it was back in the 70's or 80's.
There was a schooner in the dock on Coconut island.
I remember seeing it on excursions there.
We were not allowed to board it.
At one point, it was turned into a small night club.
Never got a chance to go, but some who did, said it was small, hot, and expensive, but fun.
It was during that time it burned down.
I got to go back on the island a few months later, and saw burnt schooner.
Next time I was back, a few year later, it was gone.
When I tell friends about it, no one remembers anything about it.
I've searched the web, and can't find anything about it.
Any ideas????

Coach Nick Rolovich to leave UH for WSU

lundi 13 janvier 2020

https://www.staradvertiser.com/2020/...hington-state/

He must have been disappointed that attendance averaged only about 20 thousand per game. Only 20 thousand attended the Hawaii Bowl against BYU showed there was a ceiling to the interest level for UH football in Hawaii. Also, there was 3 million a year reasons why to leave.

NFL Playoffs 2020

dimanche 12 janvier 2020

Today the Kansas City Chiefs came back from a 0-24 deficit behind the Houston Texans to win 51-31. The Chiefs play the Tennessee Titans on Jan. 19 for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

The Seattle Seahawks are fighting to come from behind the Green Bay Packers, 23-28 in the fourth quarter. Winner plays San Francisco for a Super Bowl berth.

Who were or are you rooting for?

I tend to root for the old timers, so Packers in today's lineup. But my mom really loves the Chiefs' QB and I admit he's fun to watch!

TuTuSue, Where are you?

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting TuTuSue about 3 years ago on a brief visit to Honolulu. We chatted over local grindz for a couple of hours. So much fun, discovered we had a lot in common and knew some of the same people from her California days. Since then, I have lost track of her. I hope she is okay. Anybody know what she is up to?

U.S. Strike Kills One of Iran’s Most Powerful Military Leaders

Qassem Suleimani’s death could mark the most dramatic escalation of the Middle East conflict since the Iraq War.

No question he was a bad guy. But does anyone think the current administration has a plan to deal with the fallout?

And don't forget, he accused Obama of toying with the idea of war with Iran as a re-election ploy. There is truly a Trump tweet for everything!

Little Women

mercredi 1 janvier 2020

Saw the mid-day showing of Little Women at the Ward Theater with my usual movie going friend.

The movie is about 4 sisters and their lives in Massachusetts growing up during the US Civil War and after the war about 7 years later. Each of the sister has particular talent, Meg is an actress, Amy is a painter, Beth is a musician and Jo who is the central character is a writer.

It takes a while to get the hang of this movie which might require a second viewing because at the start it was kind of hard to tell the sisters apart and the story keeps jumping between the two time periods without any subtitles, except the first one that says 7 years earlier in Massachusetts.
